Confirmation
It's time for kids to take the next step in faith. Learning about the fundamentals, confirmation is aimed at equipping young adults with the knowledge and understanding of the Christian faith to claim it as their own and defend their faith in a hostile world. Young adults will study Luther's Small Catechism with the pastor to discuss the Christian faith holistically. Confirmation will seek to build upon their knowledge of bible stories and push them to understand Scripture in a whole new way.
Confirmation is a weekly commitment that runs for one school year. Typically reserved for 7th or 8th graders in preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Yet, we know that people mature at different ages and may be ready sooner. Those who are interested in pursuing confirmation are invited to speak with the pastor.
We also want you to know that confirmation isn't the end, it is just the beginning. Confirmation is meant to equip young adults with the tools and knowledge necessary to study the bible personally at home and inspire them to continue learning about their faith through regular worship.
